There would have been riots in the streets. But if you were playing legit back when those updates came out, it's not like people were losing their saves every time they updated. I guess it's worth backing up, if you just want to be sure. You shouldn't have any problems opening saves from old versions of LE to new versions of LE. I have Legendary Edition and Special Edition for reasons you can read about in my other response. ![]() If you want to move a LE save to SSE, just move it from the LE Saves folder to the SSE Saves folder. On top of this, if you have any SKSE-based mods they might break anyway in the new save just because mods are finicky like that. ![]() Legendary Edition saves can be opened in (aka converted to) Special Edition, but Special Edition saves can't be opened in (converted back to) Legendary Edition. You can do this with the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Downgrade Patcher mod created by halgari. Alternatively, you can revert the version of Skyrim youre using to bypass the Anniversary Editions changes. Say 'yes' to any overrides the file needs to make. SSE Saves are also saved under My Games, under their own separate "Skyrim Special Edition" folder. Download the file and extract it to your Skyrim directory. ![]() Skyrim saves are stored here: C:\Users\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves If you don't want to worry about it, you can just move your saves. Hi, I'm two days late to this thread so I dunno if you've sorted this out yourself yet.
